With HEY a project about the healthy living habits of the young people of Europe, the City of Campodoro aims at offering to its community an opportunity of cultural and social development .The Project, within the framework of the social development and the prevention of addictions, will deal with the issues of obesity, drugs , alcoholism, and gambling addiction. It is common knowledge that addictions may cause permanent damages to one's health and the prospects in life, splitting families, and undermining the mental and physical wellness. Hence, the young people in Campodoro and their youth facilitators have chosen to import best practices from other EU communities and Turkey, to encourage the young people to reflect, learn, and acquire the tools to increase their well-being, improve the living standards, make the right choices for the sake of themselves, their families and their communities. The participants will also be encouraged to improve their language skills.Campodoro's youths look forward to live an experience of European integration which will help them face tomorrow's labour market challenges.Beside the Italian partners, City of Campodoro and Province of Padova, there will be 6 European partners and 42 participants. The foreign partners will bring 5 participants each between 18 and 24 and one leader. The gender equality will be respected.HEY is inspired by the project "Healthy Living Young People of Europe" coordinated in 2015 by the Province of Bartin (Turkey), with young participants from the Province of Padova, which led the way to the exchange of good practices in the field of healthy living habits. The Province of Bartin is going to join and contribute with its own expertise and partners. Another project that inspired HEY is the 2012 HEB-VET project from the LLP Programme, Leonardo da Vinci about the health education and behaviour in vocational education and training. The activities will favour a non formal educational approach such as the youth direct involvement in the activities, the video and FB making, the role-play, the self-evaluation of the learning advancements.Participants will be selected among the social and economic disadvantaged people in the respective communities. Campodoro will campaign to stimulate the NEETs to take part in the activities.Workshops, exercises, debates, role-play, simulations, and sport practice will be chosen to address the issues of the healthy eating habits.Workshops will be coordinated by nutritionists, youth experts and medical experts. The participants will also take part in the community cultural and sport activities, and in meetings with local facilitators and sport, cultural and leisure clubs.Buy fresh buy local field-trips to farms will also be included as well as harvesting, processing, and cooking the season produce at the kitchen workshops. This project aims at providing long term opportunities, such as an interesting career, good education and training, many language skills, learning to appreciate other countries as well as acquire competences and the flexibility which is needed to work at european level.
