The Bilateral Project ‘H.E.L.P.’ integrates learning foreign languages with several educational themes (ecological, health, media, European) and modern ICT. It assumes the collaboration between two partner schools (in Poland and in Italy) in the field of ecology and the nature protection, with the reinforcement of wastes and rubbish problems in local regions of both schools. Within the project framework, there are activities referring to both diagnosing the situation and enhancing students’ knowledge of possible threatens brought by harmful methods of wastes disposing and utilizing. The project participants will study modern methods of rubbish disposal and recycling and their influence on our health and the state of the natural environment. Students will improve their abilities to do research, to collect information, to analyze figures and to present acquired knowledge and their own opinion in English. Students and teachers of partner schools will practise and develop their communication skills by means of ICT. Displaying visual materials and performing pro-ecological campaign during the exchange will enable them to show the importance of the problem and to suggest effective ways to cope with it.
