The project is based on the need to develop an understanding of the health and safety problems encountered in enterprises, particularly supermarkets. It will develop a vocational training programme focusing on current measures and aiming to develop vocational training modules to promote better conditions in the workplace, which take into consideration the cultural differences between each country. The project will actively contribute to improved co-operation between managers and employees, by training both parties. The objective is to define a European framework and understanding of the needs for training in health and safety at work. Each partner will be involved in training health professionals, trainers and enterprises. Materials for coaching courses and on-the-job training in the respective countries will be available on the project's interactive homepage. A manual of training modules, teaching materials and best examples of training within health and safety at work will also be available. Expected results include co-operation processes between enterprises and health specialists; dialogue for a connected to each of the partner countries and a project web site. The project results will be disseminated by the partner's network of SMEs.
