Have your SAY
Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 31 juil. 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Have Your SAY.The Have Your SAY project aims to bring young people and decision & policy makers together to enable direct dialogue to happen between them offering decision makers the opportunity to be directly informed by young people about decisions that would affect them. Through the project the creation of additional opportunities for young people to have their voices heard and listened to would be implemented to enable equal opportunity to participate in youth dialogue conversations enabling young people who are effected by rurality, social & economic barriers and those with additional needs. Have Your SAY will use multiple means for young people to engage with dialogue through youth assemblies which will develop a coherent approach and unified voice for young people. The idea is that an annual Suffolk Assembly of Youth becomes embedded in the process, through local forum meetings, themed pieces of work e.g.. European Youth Week, web based activities and debates all around topics that they have chosen and identified as being important to young people. At the end of the project it is planned to host a celebratory and reflective event to demonstrate the strides that young people have made during the project to have their voices heard.Young people will be engaged in the project via existing youth forums where they exist, through being an elected member of UK Youth Parliament, work with school councils and working alongside community groups to ensure a rich cross section of young people are enabled to have their voices heard. In participating in Have Your SAY young people will have the opportunity to undertake participating in the YouthPass which will develop reflective learning and develop skills such as self confidence and self-esteem, communication skills that will help prepare them for transition into adulthood and transferrable into the world of employment whilst engaging young people with the political process.
