It is one of the fruit of heaven, the olive has been the source of many legends as well as mentoined in the holy books and dates back 8000 years ago. Moreover, has mentoined about the olive trees and olive oil benefits at every stage of history such as epoch of Noah, Ancient Greek, Egyptians, Romans and more. The olive tree for the victory and mind, the olive branch for peace and the olive oil has become a symbol for purity and simplicity. There is an important role in the world olive production of European Union countries which bordering the Mediterranean Sea. The olive also has found a wide spread area in Turkey and 53% of the production has performed in the Aegean region. Particulary in the Akhisar, Manisa the city we live, there are 12 million olive trees. Highlighted in this respect, we’d like to invite 35 young people from 7 different european countries aged 18-25 to our city for harvest of olives at 21th – 29th of October 2016. The host group enthusiasts to agriculture and agricultural practices especially to the olive as well as the collection of olives that are young people who have ability to cookery, processing olive, planting of new olive trees and at the same time they will lead to the group while cooking with olives during the workshops and the group will teach to participants coming from foreign countries, how to make dishes with olive oil pratically as voluntary trainer. It also will provide information about the benefits of olives and olive oil's to healthy living. The big group who coming from different European countries will exhibit on of the most beautiful example to produce something and to live together by the project, Time to Harvest. Besides, these young people who collect olives and plant new olive saplings by joint action with local professional workers during harvest time, will give a message to public opinion that could be overcome for all existinng challenges by joint action. Our project is written with the purpose draw attention to importance of cross-cultural exchange, sharing competences each other, arouse curiosity and to act collectively in the field of harvest. Our goal is firstly to bring together young people without possibility of going abroad in our local with European young people, provide that the olive harvest, process and enable them to produce olives with olive oil, with olive trees to the formation of new olive planting. Herewith create new discussion, act together, provide the vision of their problems themselves. We will also would like to taking photo on their experiences about Time to Harvest, both by cultural nights with big project group and meeting with local population by open exhibition at the end of Project. Even they speak different languages in our workshops they will come together for a week talk about the "Harvest Time" after they learned their recipes with olive oil, will memorize, try to do as well as olive oil dishes they obtained from the olive, which is a universal fruit (Stuffed Pepper, Leaf Wrap , Fava Beans Fresh Mediterranean Salad) will offer the public the feast at the end of a week. Ensuring that all our social events and universal values learning and protecting them will still be on our Project. Our aims also contains to introduce of agriculture, history, art and culture under the roof of cross-cultural exchange to European youth blends in with concepts that brotherhood, friendship, peace to shed light on a little bit of our local community. All the outcomes that will be taken become booklet in English to use in future activities in different countries, in different cities. This is also important in sustaining of the project.
