The school in Békéscsaba was founded in 1966, called as the “New Secondary School” at that time. Today, the Kemény Gábor Secondary Technical School for Logistics and Transport is part of a bigger organisation called Békéscsaba Center of Vocational Training which coordinates eight vocational secondary schools in Békéscsaba. In the Kemény Gábor Secondary School there are three professions that students can choose: car mechanic, forwarding agent and logistic assistant. The school has been successfully participating in national and international projects for years.In this project our aim is that the participants from the three professions complete internships abroad during the project period. The number of participants would be 12, and the project would be for students from grade 11.The aims of the project:- to improve the participants’ professional, language, personal, methodological, digital, and intercultural skills and competences;- the recognition of the study and work experience gained abroad;- the utilization of the project results and documents;- to maintain an active and long-term international cooperation with the host institute and the host companies.The number of participants and the professional training number:- car mechanic, professional training number: OKJ:54 525 02 (4 participants);- logistic assistant, professional training number: OKJ:54 345 01 (4 participants);- forwarding agent, professional training number: OKJ:54 841 04 (4 participants).The participants of the project have a basic knowledge of their profession, and at least a basic knowledge (B1 level) of the English or German language.The expected results of the project:- the participants prepare reports, photos and videos about their internships, they write work diaries, and there will be reports about the meetings;- the participants’ personal skills and competences improve, and their motivation for their profession increases;- the quality of the professional trainings in the school improves, and thereby the quality of the general vocational training increases;- the number of students participating in international professional trainings increases.Short-term results:- the acquisition of the professional experience specified in the central programmes of the chosen vocational trainings could effectively be accomplished;- as a recognition of the completed internship abroad, participants get Europass Mobility Certificates.Long-term results:- according to our dissemination plan, we appear in the media to share our experience about the internships which would greatly contribute to the increasing number of students choosing our school when deciding about their further education;- the project increases the chances of the participants in the labour market due to their work experience abroad, their professional competences and language skills;- with the utilization of the project results and documents, the level of vocational training increases.
