Handmade. New vision.

The international youth exchange project "Handmade. New vision" of the society "Daugavpils jauniešu savienība" will be implemented within 8 months (01.08.2015 - 01.04.2016). The project venue: Daugavpils (Latvia). Project themes are art and creativity, youth unemployment. With the project "Handmade. New vision" the society "Daugavpils jauniešu savienība" will give new vision on such usual thing as handicraft art. It is kind of art, which can be acquired by everyone who has desire to do it. Furthermore, handmade things and items are very popular and valuable in the society. Acoording to that, the society "Daugavpils jauniešu savienība"decided to give the young people new vision on handicraft art, which is taken only as a hobby in the society. It is a great possibility when hobby can turn into the profession and the idea of a small enterprise by promoting the youth employment. The aim of the project " Handmade. New vision" is to promote the education of young people about entrepreneurship, develop the transversal skills of young people and to promote their employment in such way solving the porblem of youth unemployment. The project activities will be implemented within 11 days (9.12.15-19.12.15). In the project will participate 30 young people from Latvia, Polnad, Spain, Chroatia and Romania. As the main working methods will be used presentations, performaces, team building activities, ice-breaking activities, creative workshops, brainstroming, work in groups, excursions and other activities of non-formal education. The participation within the project is voluntary. Within the project activities the youth will have the possibility to get acquanted with the cultures of European countries, with Latvia and Daugavpils city, with different kinds of handicraft techniques, as well as to get an overview of entrepreneurship. Implementing the project activities will be improved the kommunication skills of young people, will be removed the social and language barriers between participants and develop their transversal skills.
