BACKGROUND. The request for this project was conducted in 2014. The need to improve the quality of teaching-learning process in the PLAN OF EMPOWERMENT OF TEACHING AND LEARNING OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES (hereinafter PELAE) was detected at that time. The PELAE programme has been developed in this school for 10 years. In order to achieve this improvement, the school thought in organice a training for teachers involved in the programme, both belonging to the departments of foreign languages (English and French), as teachers of non-linguistic disciplines. GOALS. 1. To acquire and improve the following competences of the participants: a. Linguistic competence. b. New teaching methods. c. European dimension. 2. Increase knowledge, improve teaching practice, gain a broader view of education in Europe and the world. 3. Improving the quality of teaching-learning process. NUMBER, TYPE AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS. 6 mobilities were requested for training: 1. Training courses and update language courses in French language, educational and methodological courses and update taught, all of them in French-speaking countries by centers accredited with the seal français langue étrangère qualité (qualité fle) established by the Government of France. 2. Training courses and update language, English language and teaching courses and methodological AICLE update (CLIL) programs, all of them offered in English-speaking countries by universities or entities accredited by: a. British Council: http://www.britishcouncil.org/accreditation-azlist.htm; b. Association of Language Travel Organisations (ALTO); c. Accreditation and Coordination of Inglés Language Services (ACELS); d. International Association of Language Centres (IALC); e. Evaluation & Accreditation of Quality in Language Services (EAQUALS); f. Spanish Federation of Schools of Languages (FECEI); g. Association of Language Schools of Cantabria (ACCEI). THE PROFILE OF APPLICANTS: 1. Been teaching some sumjects in some of the groups included in the PEALE of this school during the academic year in which the training is given. 2. Not have participated in other mobility arrangements for learning in relation with this call in the previous academic year. 3. Adequacy of training to the training needs of each participant. 4. In the event that interested persons who meet the above requirements are more than the number of mobilities granted, it will be applyed as selection criteria: a. Longest-serving in PELAE. b. Senior at school. 5. In the event that interested persons meeting the requirements 1, 2, and 3 are less than the number of mobilities granted, the management team may reallocate among the teachers are using the following criteria in this order: a. Belong to one of the departments that teach foreign languages. b. Oldest in the center. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN. 6 mobilities during the summer of 2014 and 2015. Monitoring and management meetings in the working group PEALE. Different meetings in which teachers who have made these mobilities present and expose the materials and content of training programs conducted are called. PEALE enrichment that develops in the center. Improving the quality of teaching and learning. LONGER TERM BENEFITS. It Is more likely that the group of teachers participating in the PEALE of this center will request other actions and programs, more oriented to job shadowing or exchanges with students from other countries. It is more likely that the training of students with similar programmes will be spread to other educational levels, such as vocational training.
