Two aims provide the backbone of the main projects and activities in our secondary school : diversity outreach and the inclusion of disadvanteged school groups, and multilingual teaching-learning processes The main strategic goal in the school’s Plan of European Development aims at providing our pupils and the whole educational community with a school that is open to Europe, that has an efficient management as well as up-dated teaching methods and tools.This plan should also focus on  improving the quality of the teaching,  improving digital and learning-to-learn competence, increasing the students’ motivation,So that by the time they leave school, they have already acquired the necessary skills.In this field we need to: Provide new skills and teaching methods Make the most of the technical resources available at the school,  strenghthen the European dimension of the school, Improve teachers´linguistic competence and Improve the managementOur aim is a methodological change that involves the substitution of traditional methods by others that engage our students´ new challenges; new teaching methods that give students the main role by promoting their creativity and that become an interactive process.These new methods will use technology as another tool for teaching. These new methods will be implemented on all the areas and with all the students so as to win over those unwilling to the traditional methods.By using English in the courses and in the activities of job shadowing we continue improving and enhancing the linguistic skill of the teachers who take part into the project, one of the most important needs.With this aim in mind13 teachers from different areas will take part in teacher-training courses about innovative practices. Members of the School Board will take part in job shadowing activities in order to improve their didactic skills and management skills, which will be implemented in the classroom and in the management. They will improve the lstudents´ learning by promoting their creativity. The pupils will be able to appreciate the real goal of learning, connecting school and reality.When selecting the candidates, the Committee will bear in mind the following criteria:• the candidates’ motivation and implication in the school projects• their qualification in the English Language• the impact that their training may have on the school.At least one teacher from the different departments will be chosen. Afterwards, ths teacher will teach the new skills to the others in their department in a training seminar. The general methodologies will be taught to all the teachers.The impact of the course expected on the teachers taking part in them includes - the improvement or reinforcement of their linguistic competence in English,- the development of links with teachers from other European schools,- the enrichment of their teaching resources and experience, leading to more efficient teaching,- a different approach to the teaching of their subjects, as well as- more motivation, inspiration and enthusiasm in it,- more intercultural awareness and appreciation for other European countries’ attitudes and cultures,- better knowledge of the education system in other European countries,- better skills with the use of ICT in the teaching of English.A largo plazo, el cambio metodológico se extenderá a todos los niveles y alumnos. Su implementación tendrá un impacto muy positivo en la mejora de la calidad.The impact expected in the groups will suppose an improvement on the next skills:+Students motivation+Interaction ability+Creativity+Responsible digital competence+Linguistic competence, specially oral skills+Self-esteem on their own mental abilities+Awareness of responsive european citizenship+Awareness of being the most important piece in their learning processThe impact on the students will be shown on the productions made by the implementation of new methods in the classroom. All these productions will appear on our school´s website where there will be links to the several virtual pages used in the learning process.
