There will be also small workshop in each country for local youth and these will be evaluated among participants. Methodology to be used in carrying out the project: We shall learn and observe with tools of visual arts and drama, group work, independent work, self-reflection and with playful attitude. Theory is mainly based on Keith Johnstones methodology of improvisation and Henri Bergsons studies of humour and comedy. Focus will be on learning by doing, so all the theory, methodology and tools will be tried out in practise. One main task is also focus on pedagogy behind the exercises; explore and explain how and why different exercises that we go through works with youth? Objectives of your project: In HA-HA is A-HA -training participants get to know practical and theoretical basics of visual improvisation, happy failures and get to know the genres of laughter. In workshops participants will research how art can work as a tool for dialogue and how humour and picture making can be part of communicating in the works social situations, in free time and in non-formal learning environments. It’s all about healthy self-confidence, teamwork and fun for everybody. Anyone can learn how to improvise and everyone does! Basically we learn how to screw up and still stay happy! A chance to laugh with colleagues and youth gives also positive energy for everyday life. There should be passion to do one’s own work but work or voluntary work shouldn’t be taken too seriously. What matters most are the people surrounding and the attitudes that they share. The training enables participants to get peer support, sharing professional knowledge and ideas that they can proceed to share with youth. Humour is a way to relate to things, importance of understanding how humor works so we can use it in constructive social manner. Number and profile of participants: There will be all together 18 participants (including trainers) from 3 different countries, from Finland, Norway and Slovenia. All participants work with youth and are willing to grow positive attitude in their lives. Participants are 25-45 years old and need valuable new resources to their work life. A short description of the results and impact envisaged and finally the potential longer term benefits: Training gives participants tools for constructive and yet fun group interaction that sets up good mental space for any other learning process. By practical tools of art, improvisation, humor and comedy participants can create for youth a space where constructive interaction is possible, mistakes are seen part of learning and creative process and laughing is empowering not insulting. That is important so youth can feel safe in a group, know how to listen and give space for the others, have trust to be playful and by that to be creative and spontain themselves and not to be too harsh on themselves. By evaluating the methods of training and learning them in practise during the whole training motivates participants to find proper ways to adapt the theory in practise in own working field. We aim for the impact that all the participants can find methods via HA-HA is A-HA -training that they can adapt later in their own working field.
