The project, aiming to the improvement of our school and to the development of an European culture within our school had two main actions: 1- JOB SHADOWING experience in some Dutch schools and 2- training and development in class of the "GROWTH MiINDSET" methodology. 1- Six teachers from our school ( 2 for the primary school and 2 for the secondary school) were hosted at The Anna Van Rijn school and shadowed "coach" colleagues during their day at school. Individuals were matched with teachers performing a similar role or dealing with similar themes of interest. The primary school teachers were given the opportunity to visit some primary schools of the area and take part in different school activities. All the teachers involved had the chance to observe how colleagues go about their role, discuss with them and compare practices. The experience has offered our staff the opportunity to reflect on their own teaching practice and situation, develop new approaches and bring a global dimension into our school on their return. The Dutch school has given our school various text books in English on different subjects which will come very useful for future CLIL experiences in our classes. A long term relationship with the hosting school has been established as the two schools are working together on a students exchange project. 2- Following a training section on the theory of the "Growth Mindset" delivered by experts of Portsmouth University, the trained staff has hold a training course for a large number of teachers of our Institute (both primary and secondary school). The participants have been provided with all the necessary study and teaching material, throughly translated in Italian for a smoother and easier cascade effect of the content. The aim was to help create a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for success and great accomplishment as well as encourage learners to seek more opportunities and accept the challenge of moving their learning forward in subject areas where they might have had difficulties in the past. The impact of Growth Mindset and students' attitude towards learning have been monitored through class observations, class discussions and questionnaires.
