(GREENOV)

PROJET
TERMINÉ
The project aims at developing the economic sector of sustainable renovation mainly by stimulating the innovation capacity of SMEs working in this field. The project will contribute to the transition to low-carbon cities and sustainable economy and will improve the knowledge and expertise on sustainable renovation of existing buildings. Partners of this project are key stakeholders involved in the fields of eco-innovation (eco-construction. energy…). The partners want to set-up a European cluster on sustainable renovation based on the structuring of a supply chain (supply side lever) and the engagement of the public sector (demand side lever). They aim at increasing SMEs’ competitiveness in this field while contributing to find effective solutions for the development of low carbon cities. Existing infrastructures and buildings represent a major issue in the reduction of CO2 emissions. While most of new buildings are now built in “energy efficient” ways (and the market has started adapted to it). it is still much more complicated to renew existing structures to make them energy efficient and to do it on a large scale (ex: housing buildings. public infrastructures…). Our different partners – clusters. chambers of commerce. local authorities and research institutes – want to accelerate the cycle “innovation ? market/supply chain development ? implementation at large scale of energy efficient renovation”. This will be done through the setting-up of a specific transnational cluster in the field of sustainable renovation in existing buildings and urban infrastructures. which will pool partners’ knowledge and resources in order to be more efficient. 4 demonstration exemplary investments are planned by public authorities and an agency with the objective to stimulate the market stakeholders and increase the awareness of the inhabitants. The main result of the cluster will be the creation of a Sustainable renovation supply chain. Achievements: The Greenov project aims at developing the economic sector of sustainable renovation by stimulating the innovation capacity of SMEs working in this field. The project worked both on the Innovation and the Business side. Four public buildings were renovated during the project. These renovations supported the Greenov actions, and were at the same time tools to a large dissemination.Greenov achieved the following results:Innovation – Clustering the expertiseGreenov gathered more 35 sustainable renovation experts in order to exchange, develop new tools and improve them.7 thematic conferences have been organized, 2 new tools developed and one common study published. The tools:A business technology accelerator method (see documents uploaded below)A grid of indicators for the sustainable renovationBusiness – Clustering the SMEsGreenov developed 6 regional SMEs networks to build, at its end, an EU cluster dedicated to sustainable renovation.Greenov organized business trips, business networking, B2B meetings (some in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network)Greenov created and organized 2 editions of the Greenov Award, attributed to the most innovative SMEs in the NWE area.Demonstration – 4 exemplary investmentsThe project financed the sustainable and exemplary renovation of 4 public buildings.
