Date du début: 1 janv. 2017, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The overall objective of the proposed project is to encourage positive educational values in team & individual grassroots sports among children and youth. The specific objectives of the proposed project are:1. Creation of a integrated methodology enforcing positive values in individual sports, based on the pre-existing Green Play methodology for team sports;2. Implementation of Green Play methodology for Team and Individual Sports through pilot tests involving schoolchildren from 5 to 18 years old, featuring the use of new technologies;3. Monitoring and assessment of behavioural changes in the target groups and gathering of lessons learned for replicating in other parts of Europe;4. Identification and networking with organisations working in the promotion of positive educational values in sport and through the practice of sport; The proposed project seeks to fight all forms of intolerance, discrimination and violence by promoting positive educational values in sports and through sports. Green Play is an alternative and innovative methodology implemented by Baix-Llobregat Sports Council based in Catalonia, Spain, since 2013 and represents a radical departure from the current model of scoring system in school sport competitions. The basic premise of the methodology is teaching values, whereby the challenge of getting more points than the opponent is not the only determining factor for winning the match; civic values, fair play and other positive behaviours are also taken into consideration and impact the final score, ultimately determining the winner. The primary target group of the proposed project are students and athletes from 5 to 18 years old of age. The other important target groups are: parents and siblings, sport coordinators, referees, tutors, coaches, each having an important and active role in impacting the educational process of children.
