Focusing on encouraging local economic development, the applicant organizationsapplied universal and well-established development and enterprise incentivetechniques in order to find the most viable forms and areas of cooperation. Despitehigh mobility of labour force between the applicant counties, cross-border cultural andeconomic relationships have been rather vague. Thus volunteers on both sides havebeen trained for generating projects which led to formulating several tens of projectideas the implementation of which ought to support the required development andcooperation of cross-border regions.
