gram for development of minimal invasive general and oncological thoracic surgery (Thoracicsurgery)
Date du début: 31 mars 2011, Date de fin: 29 nov. 2012 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project aims to develop joint medical methods, as well as to prevent the spread of tuberculosis, and to improve the treatment of pulmonary tumours. As a result, patients on both sides of the border would have equal access to improved treatment methods. The project funds mutual workshops and surgery demonstrations with the involvement of specialists from Szeged and Timisoara. Also ESTS-standard devices are being purchased: Romanian doctors present best practice methods for the treatment of TBC to their Hungarian partners, while, on the other hand, the doctors from Hungary present their techniques of tumour treatment. As a result of the project, 2 protocols are being elaborated and used, for the benefit of more than 2 million people living in the area, giving them access to better services at the 2 hospitals taking part in the project. The project will be sustained for several years, through constant communication and adjustment to new developments in both countries.
