The maint point of the internship of our students in Berlin was to gain vocational practical training in a foreign country, to improve practical skills, to better knowledge of foreign language and to improve communication skills of the students from the printing techniques field. The students, who went to Berlin, went through two weeks of practical training and workshops in their field - printing techniques. The students spent two weeks at a highly proffessional secondary school where they created their output and gained new knowledge and skills. Berlín school has a long tradition and Germany is the seat of printing business. The students were introduced to the prinitng machines, they fulfilled the tasks and they used the Heidelberg printing machines and PC software. They created there great outputs such as: 1. internship - 20-page-brochure of Berlin underground stations, a t-shirt with their own design created in specialized PC programmes and technology and they also made a poster. 2. internship - 2 sets of a card game with the pictures of Berlin pillars and the parter´s school. 16 students + one accompanying person went to Germany during two internships (1x internship - 8 students). The students communicated in English and learnt some basic terminology in German language. The contact person Dirk Zellmer helped them and adviced them, he is also responsible for EU projects. The students participated in several English language lessons where they learnt proffessional terminology. Their stay was considered as their compulsory practical training in our school. They learnt to communicate faster in English language, they learnt different culture to be more tolerant and they also experienced some international workshops. They became more confident and they will have better possibilities in a labour market in the future. They also got a certificate of the work placement abroad - Europass mobility. They also learnt to be more independent in a foreign environment. The internship in a foreign country increased our students a chance to get a better job and the sending institution gave a chance our students to be better in competitions held by Union of Printing Techniques Businesmen in the Czech Republic.
