Date du début: 20 nov. 2014, Date de fin: 19 nov. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

In our school there is a consistent number of students with little motivation, poor background and cultural stimulus. The teachers’effort, therefore, are focused on the research of instruments to vary and innovate the teaching activities along with the will to give a European dimension to our educational action. We also want to underline the necessity to teach vocational subjects according to methods that meet the needs of a European context where the students might operate Our objectives were: To improve teachers’ linguistic competence, to acquire new instruments and teaching strategies, to use innovative methods which arouse students’interests , and are suitable to their needs and learning abilities. Furthermore we wanted to give an international imprint to the school. Management’s objectives : to study in depth the distinctive features of the Scandinavian and Norwegian schools’ system, and know the school’s manager proceedings and modes of carrying out his/her job . In particular, how he/she plans learning environment, how he/she organizes the educational-didactic action, how he/she assesses the quality of the training process. Number and profile of participants: The project included nine people of the school staff : two English teachers, two maths teachers, four teachers of the training subjects, and the Headteacher. All of them have developed considerable expertise in their job, have attended training courses abroad and experimented CLIL methodology in class . Their personal qualities include : adequate attitude to foreign mobility, ability to work in team and they can adjust easily to new situations and contexts. The Headteacher has showed planning and management abilities along with problem solving competence. The school quality has also increased through the setting up of international projects such as : multilateral partnerships, in- service training and work experience abroad. Preparatory activities: Organisation of training operative plan; Involvement and advertising activity; Participants’ preparation; Learning agreement; Logistic planning : travel + accommodation; Staff training : job shadowing experience and in-service training course; Experimentation of new teaching methods and innovative strategies; Cross activities : monitoring and assessment; Dissemination; Final activities; The direct results of our training are linked to the beneficial attending of courses and lectures that suggested and proposed "alternative and innovative strategies " in education and in the different disciplines ; to have learned techniques and means that allow a wider diversification of teaching practice and so a greater experimentation to improve and refresh the teacher’s work Positive outcomes are also : And in-depth knowledge of methodology which regards the lab lessons . Programming CLIL modules; Enhanced knowledge of foreign language; Strengthening of linguistic and communicative skills and a stimulus to improve our teaching which derive from a close and open comparison among colleagues of different nationalities and ethnic groups In the managerial field the positive outcomes are : Analysis of the organization of the school; observation of structures and functions, tasks and objectives, staff organization and school management, the use of human, structural and financial resources. The envisaged impact has been positive and it concerns the acquisition of greater expertise in using innovative and different teaching methodologies. The objective is to employ educational experimentation, to infuse greater enthusiasm in the educational activity and transmit more incisive motivation in our students. The school benefits from well trained and competent teachers who are eager to refresh and update their ways and means of teaching. Future collaborations and exchanges may spring up among international teachers based on shared subjects and motivations. We can give an additional European dimension to our institute if we cover topics using a foreign language or we deal with them in different subjects. This will prepare our students to become international citizens with the necessary mind and cultural opening. They will be able to compete with their European colleagues or have the same preparation as they use and experiment the same methodology and teaching practices. The close investigation of the Scandinavian school system has provided ideas on how to handle the following issues : school self-governing, pliancy, educational planning, the organization of learning environment.
