Project is available for all young people, including participants with fewer opportunities in the age 17-30 years. The main requirement for selected volunteer is enthusiasm and a real interest in nature conservation, sustainable tourism and working with local community. This EVS project will allow a volunteer, to meet new friends and build new social networks, to gain valuable experiences through project activities (learning by doing), to develop several skills and competences which will be included in his/hers Youthpass certificate, to learn croatian language and culture and above all, it will give the possibility of an independent life abroad. EVS volunteering will represent a role model with positive impact on the local community, with multiplying effects on the national and international level. Therefore we want to develop intercultural dimension and solidarity, by fostering collaboration between a volunteer and local youth. Locals will have the opportunity to identify common values with a volunteer from different country and to be aware and respect the cultural diversity, by exchanging experiences, knowledge, tradition and habits. Volunteer will educate protected areas visitors and locals about importance of nature conservation and sustainable tourism. Long term impact will be seen as changed mindsets and behaviors of visitors and local communities allowing more efficient management and sustainable usage of natural resources. Volunteering with its wider benefits will get more attention from local authorities (from managers of protected areas) and will be included into their programs and strategies. This EVS project will also increase motivation of local youth for obtaining non-formal and informal education and engage their active participation. International experiences gained will increase their opportunities on the labour market and consequently decrease unemployment. With the knowledge, skills, competences and contacts obtained through Erasmus+ activities, European young people will become more open, connected, creative, employable, healthy, self- aware, as well as active citizens, motivated to improve EU's systems and therefore make a positive impact on society.
