In the project Gördes VTTC (Vocational and Technical Training Centre) took a part as applier institute and Prvni soukroma hotelove skola, Stredni skola technicka and Soukroma Stredni Skola Vypocetni Techniky from Czech Republic as overseas hosts. It is planned that 10 students and an accompanying teacher from each Furniture and Interior Designing, Food and Beverages Services and Electric Electronic Technologies fields to complete a vocational education program. A project management team has been set up in our institute during the preparation process of the project and this team has determined project’s fundamental subjects with the help of our trainers. When determining project topics, market evaluations have been made and the needs of our students and institute were considered. As a result of the meetings, it is decided that Furniture and Interior Design students to get 2 weeks of training about innovative design and production of offices; Food and Beverages students to get 2 weeks of training about guest types and behaviors; Electric Electronic Technologies students to get 2 weeks of troubleshooting and repairing smart phones. The main objective of the project was to increase employment rates of students from different study fields by increasing their vocational skills and knowledges. Objectives that directly related to our main objective such as increasing students’ EU experience, introducing to EU culture, developing vocational foreign language and general foreign language skills was also considered. After the acceptance of the project, our project management team has started its works and informed our hosting partners as a first thing to do. As a result of the informing through e-mail, certain partnerships have been made between our overseas partners Prvni soukroma hotelova skola and Stredni skola technicka as mentioned in the proposal agreements. The other hosting partner Soukroma Stredni Skola Vypocetni Techniky has informed us about that they will not be able to host our project due to busy schedule. They have suggested another institute that meets our overseas partner criteria in order to relief us. The overseas partnership agreement has been made with Smichovska stredni prumyslova skola under the observation of our project expert. The project management team has started its work for selecting participants after the approval of participating profile and education program by our hosting partners. The project management team has selected participants in accordance with the criteria. Logistic regulations and preparation for participants have been started simultaneously after the selection of participants was completed. The period before the mobility has been completed successfully with a coordinated work. The 3 mobility of our project have been successfully carried out after the completion of preparations. Participants have attended vocational trainings and cultural activities in accordance with the education program within our overseas partners during the mobility. Participants have developed vocational knowledge and skills in accordance with the main objective of our project. The vocational trainings that the participants have attended were certificated by our hosting partners in accordance with the employment intensive. In addition to that, Europass mobility and Europass resume have been prepared for the participants. Participants have attended to cultural activities which were mentioned in the education programs in accordance with the cultural objectives of our project and additional cultural activities which were provided by our overseas partners. Participants have developed their foreign language skills through using English during the vocational trainings and cultural activities. It was determined during the evaluation works and reports of accompanying teachers that our participants have developed vocational, cultural and lingual skills. The project has created an effect that will increase employment opportunities of participants in accordance with our objectives through the contributions and certifications to our participants’ vocational development. The participants’ chance of getting hired has been increased by the vocational qualifications which they can prove with the tangible documents after the graduation. In addition to their vocational qualifications, participants have got lingual and cultural qualifications which will help their employment process. The project has a cultural impact on participants’ self-development and helped them to become active individuals in the society in addition to its employment benefits.
