GO MOISIO GO- projektissa on tarkoitus paitsi täydennyskouluttaa opettajia myös lisätä yhteistyötä opettajien kesken. Moision kouluun liittyi viime syksynä uusia oppilaita ja opettajia lopetetusta Laurin koulusta, joka kärsi homeongelmasta. Tähän projektiin osallistuu opettajia kummastakin koulusta ja onkin tärkeää että yhteistyötä opettajien kesken lisääntyy, joka taas parantaa työyhteisön viihtyvyyttä. Lisäksi uusi opetussuunnitelma on tulossa lähiaikoina ja monet opettajat tuntevat tarvetta lisäkoulutukseen, koska sitä ei ole kaupungin puolesta tarjolla lainkaan. Projektiin saivat osallistua kaikki halukkaat opettajat ja liikkuvuutta haetaan nyt yhteensä yhdeksälle opettajalle. Opettajat opettavat seuraavia aineita: liikunta, terveystiede, biologia, maantieto, vaellus, historia ja mukana on myös koulumme rehtori. Projekti pitää sisällään kaksi job shadowing-tutustumista sekä espanjalaiseen että italialaiseen kouluun, jotka kummatkin ovat olleet tai tulevat olemaan myös EU-kouluyhteistyökouluja. Lisäksi opettajia haluaisi osallistua tieto-ja viestintäteknologia-kurssille Italiassa, retkeilykurssille Islannissa, museoita hyödyntävälle kurssille Turkissa sekä oman hyvinvointiin keskittyvälle kurssille Espanjassa. Kouluvierailuilla esitellään Suomen koululaitosta, kotiseutua ja maata sekä tutustutaan kohdemaan koulujärjestelmään ja hyviin käytänteisiin siellä. Erilaisilla täydennyskoulutuskursseilla käytetään monenlaisia menetelmiä, retkeilykurssilla ollaan ulkona ja opitaan erilaisia aktiviteettejä mitä siellä voidaan tehdä. Museokurssilla vieraillaan eri museoissa ja opitaan millaisia käytännöllisiä projektitöitä niissä voidaan tehdä. Tietotekniikka kursseilla käytetään erilaisia viestintävälineitä ja hyvinvointikurssilla on useanlaiset menetelmät käytössä, niin liikunnalliset kuin henkiset menetelmätkin. Koulutusten tuloksena osallistujien ja sitä kautta myös koko työyhteisön tietotaito näissä aiheissa lisääntyy. Myös yhteistyö opettajien välillä lisääntyy ja hyvinvointi koko koulussa. Opettajat tuntevat kuuluvansa laajempaan Eurooppalaiseen yhteisöön, ei pelkästään Saloon tai Suomeen. Eurooppalaisuus-tunne lisääntyy koko koulussa! The intention of the GO MOISIO GO project is to train teachers further in their professional fields as well as to extend co-operation among teachers. Moisio School grew in size a year ago, when part of the teachers and students of another school was transferred here. GO MOISIO GO project involves teachers from both the schools since it is important to assimilate the new teaching staff with the old one. It again will add to the positive atmosphere at Moisio School. Furthermore, the pressure from the new national curriculum of 2016 will demand an extra push from the teachers in form of professional development. There was an open call for the teachers to join the project. The mobility grant is applied for nine teachers in physical education, health sciences, biology, geography, outdoor activities such as hiking and history. The head teacher of the school will also join it in the field of administration. The project includes two job-shadowing visits to Spanish and Italian schools. One of these schools has already been Moisio’s EU partner school and the other one will be in the future. Furthermore, the involved teachers have an interest to attend a course on information technology in Italy, a hiking course in Iceland, a course in museum studies in Turkey and a course on personal well-being in Spain. One teacher would like to develop his English language skills in the UK. The school visits will enable the Moisio teachers to present the Finnish school system, the home town and country as well as to get acquainted with the school system and the good professional school practices of the welcoming country. Various methods are being used on the courses: the hiking course will focus on outdoor activities, the course on museum studies will show what type of activities can be done between museum and school. The information technology course will promote new teaching methods in that field. The course on well-being will focus on physical as well as mental well-being. The aim of the courses and training is to increase the know-how level of the participants and later on the school in the given matters. Furthermore, co-operation between teachers and in school will prosper the school environment in general. The teachers will get a pan-European feeling – we are no longer only part of Finland or Salo, but part of the whole of Europe.
