GMG Convention 2015 GLORY MUSIC GUTS I GIRLS MEET GIRLS I GRAZ MADE GIGS I GLORIOUS MAIDS GROW GMG is an international DJ-Convention taking place in Graz, Austria. From 31st of August till 6th of September 2015 about 20 female DJs from Austria, Hungary and Slovenia gather in the capital of Styria to interchange experiences, know-how, routines, ideas and inspiration. They pursue a goal: women´s empowerment, networking, strenghtening and investment in youth. In daily workshops  - with theoretical parts from guest lecturers and practice parts of DJing - the participants between 18 and 30 years get to know each other aside of cultural inhibitions and even across the limitations of music genres. Contents of the Workshops will be equipment, genres, production, promotion, mixes and of course putting on some tunes together. Furthermore every day has it´s focus: The Media and Marketing day ends with a live Radio Session and a documentary film, the Equipment and tecnical day ends with making music together, the reflection day gives room for a public available panel discussion and a clubbing afterwards, the Making- Female-DJNS-common- day develops a beginner workshop format for girls. The GMG participants are their trainers - and the whole week ends with our big clubbing event at Forum Stadtpark, Graz! It´s a public presentation of this week´s work with all our DJNS at the console. The developed compact workshop-format for young girls - shall be spread all over Europe in continuation of the GMG gathering in Graz. GMG is furthermore open to react on the actual needs and interests of its participants. The network shall grow, all participants are part of the idea of community! The event is hosted by Caritas Steiermark and supported by Alpe Adria Alliance.
