Glocaly Youth

Glogally Youth is a training course that was held in Lentini from October 7 to 17, 2014. This project was inspired by our experience in contact with park visitors and local residents, two targets very different between them, being the neighborhoods in which the park is located pockets of socio-economic hardship. This experience has given us the opportunity to deepen our knowledge of similar dynamics, and similar experiences in Italy and Europe: during preliminary analysis carried out thanks to the 5 project partners, have realized that there are many common goods with high cultural potential located in neighborhoods deprived sections of large and small cities. The smaller sites, historic buildings, railway stations and subways are a basin areas where is possible to run activities to promote social and cultural entrusted to youth associations may also represent healthy economy vehicle for young European citizens. From this context we have established with partners a set of learning objectives for our project: - Share a specific method of enhancing local - Share the possibilities of youth associations in the field of urban and rural development - Confront the needs of young people with social disadvantage EU-27 - Promote new non-formal education activities - Promote a management style and shared professional youth associations - Promote the active role of professionals in youth associations - Promote the active role of young people in the management of common goods. The activities were carried out using experiential education, cooperative learning , structured dialogue, the non-violent communication and evaluation 4D valuation technique pioneered by EDB and is the perfect metaphor of the project we want to accomplish . The project involved 18 participants from Italy, Turkey, France, Romania, Poland and Hungary with experience in the field of youth and promoting social and willingness to engage in the creation of value through the use of common goods.
