The integrative project "Ordinary parents" aims to provide an opportunity for an exchange of experience to professionals and multiplicators working with young and disabled people. New approaches to the central topic "parenthood with disabilities" shall be developed jointly. Professionals in the field of youth and adult education, experts in a voluntary capacity, and people concerned will jointly seek ways of overcoming those prejudices and difficulties as well as new methods and strategies for the work from and with young parents with disabilities. There are two meetings planned in Tallinn (Estonia) and Bremen (Germany). In each will participate 15 persons, partly working as professionals in that field, partly being engaged in the topic on a voluntary capacity. The first meeting is mainly dedicated to a more theoretical exchange on methods and perspectives in the work with parents with disabilities in the form of workshops and expert discussions.
