Project „Get up!” is bilateral project between Mission Locale Lens Lievin from France and „East & West Center for Human recourses Development” (WE Center) from Jordan. It is a long term EVS project during what WE Center will host two volunteers from France for 6 month period each. The objectives of project are: • To promote healthy lifestyle in “Gaza” refugee camp in Jordan • To encourage intercultural dialogue between youth from France and Jordan; • To develop cooperation between organizations from Middle East and Europe; • To enhance youth mobility in France by providing European Voluntary Service in another country. The main tasks for volunteers in Jordan will be to lead sport activities in Palestinian refugee camp. Volunteers will maka tresure hunts and other similar activities in order to attract youth attention to sport. It is expected that the biggest impact from project will be on volunteers who will do EVS. They will gain not only new knowledge and new skills, but also will have significant experience in living abroad, getting to know new people and changing their understanding of different cultures. It is expected that these volunteers after EVS will be more active in social and political life in their countries and will see themselves as active members of society.
