Get ready- gotowi do edukacji i życia zawodowego w Europie
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project created by a group of secondary teachers from I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Kutno, a high school, aims at improving certain problematic areas such as insufficient use of new technologies in the teaching process, difficulties in the development of verbal language skills of both the teaching staff and the students, lack of motivation and low self-esteem, choices of studies not relevant to the needs of the labor market, students’ intolerance of other cultures as well as problems with managing conflict situations. We perceive the Erasmus+ program as an opportunity to address these issues and means of implementing lasting changes in our school. The grant will allow the group of teachers to participate in workshops tailored to the abovementioned needs. The project involves teachers from a wide range of subjects such as foreign languages, physics, history, social studies and economics. The headmaster’s participation is a guarantee of constant and adequate supervision of the implementation of the various stages of the project, which is designed to be carried out over a period of two years. Within this period the teachers will take part in training courses abroad (Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Malta), enabling our teachers to draw on the experience of their fellow European educators. The participants are obliged to incorporate in everyday teaching process the knowledge and skills acquired in the workshops, which in turn will positively influence the students, increase their motivation for learning and make them rethink their future educational choices in connection with labor market needs. In addition to improving key technological competence, the project is designed to improve the teaching staff’s command of English, providing them with an opportunity to initiate cooperation with schools and other educational institutions from various European countries. The participation of the foreign language teachers in the project should boost the efficiency of the students’ verbal communication competence, which is particularly important in maintaining our exchange program with an international high school in Germany, and connected with a planned augmentation of the exchange program. All stages of the project (preparation, participation in courses, implementation and evaluation of its effects) have been planned and discussed by the participants, while the headmaster of the school has been made responsible for supervision over the project. All the participants have agreed to share the results of the program as well as the impact its implementation had on the students in a variety of forms, including the media, press, Kutno-oriented websites, etc. The results will be shared not only in the local junior high schools, but they will also be available outside the region through the school’s involvement with other organizations, e.g. The Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) or the project carried out by the Office of MEP Jacek Saryusz-Wolski.Through the participation of our school in the Erasmus + program we hope to raise the appeal and competitiveness of our school in the regional educational market, which is of particular importance in connection with the demographic decline. We expect our school to become a leader in the region as a modern European schooling institution which aims at providing students with key contemporary competences and is open to multiethnicity.
