Date du début: 1 févr. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The main aim of the project is to provide quality training course for youth workers, in using media tools for promotion of democratic values, anti-discrimination and active citizenship among young people. The idea of the project is based on the common needs of the participating organizations, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions representing the European Union, the Balkans and the Caucasus: youth workers require tools and methods to strengthen their media competences which enables them in addressing young people and raising awareness about the previously mentioned issues. The training course will take place in Yerevan (Armenia), in May 2016, with the main objective of developing skills and competences of youth workers and young multipliers (e.g. youth leaders, volunteers, trainers, educators) actively involved in their organizations, who are looking for creative and innovative methods during their daily work with young people. Democratic issues, anti-discrimination and human rights are topics that are not easy to tackle and might not be tempting for young people at the first glance. Therefore, youth workers need to discuss these issues in the most attractive way: through media tools and on-line platforms. During the training course, participants will have the opportunity to exchange their best practices tackling the previously mentioned topics and also, to find possible new partners and funding opportunities for their future projects. Participants representing 6 neighboring countries (Germany - Poland, Serbia - Macedonia, Armenia - Georgia) will work together with non-formal methods, attend workshops, join discussions and share good practices during the training course. Participants will also reflect on their collective memories shared with the representatives of their neighboring country. In the process of working together, they will have the chance to learn how to manage communication problems, which is the first step of the conflict resolution process. Such kind of experience will foster intercultural dialogue between the participants and develop a sense of tolerance and understanding as well.By the end of the training course, participants will gain knowledge about how to step up against anti-democratic tendencies and discrimination by using modern digital media tools and methods, such as creating short videos, producing informative reports and on-line content to their websites and social media platforms. Participants will be empowered:> to act as multipliers in their organizations and expand their professional capacities; > to help young people in using digital media technologies;> to raise awareness and initiate on-line discussions about anti-democratic tendencies and discrimination;> to develop international youth projects funded by Erasmus+ Youth and other grant providers. The whole project and its training course will be evaluated, every day of the training course, using standardized evaluation methods and forms. The participants will also be given the opportunity to reflect on their own learning outcomes and progress - guided by the trainers. The learning process and information about their developed key competences will be collected in their Youthpasses. The EU-member partner institutions with organizations from the Balkans and the Caucasus will produce 2 short videos about the main topic of the training course, as a dissemination of their own learning outcomes and the activity itself. Furthermore, project results will be disseminated via on-line platforms of the participating organizations, such as their websites, blogs and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).The project will have a positive impact on strengthening partnerships and reinforce cooperation between organizations from the European Union, the Balkans and the Caucasus. The synergy of partners within the project will strengthen network cooperation and encourage them to initiate new projects on the local, regional, national and international level as well.
