Get in VOLved
Date du début: 1 août 2015, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The volunteer from France will implement an EVS-project "Get inVolved" taking place in Krasnoyarsk City, Russia. Krasnoyarsk is the largest industrial, cultural and educational center of Eastern Siberia, and the capital of the Krasnoyarsk Territory - the second largest region in Russia. The project will last 10 months and starts from the 1st of September. The volunteer will be involved in current INTERRA's projects (in the preparation and implementation of youth exchanges and bilateral international project-management, ) and other activities carried out by Educational Center of INTERRA (foreign language clubs, lectures/discussions in culture, art, urban life development etc.) She will have the possibility to participate in sports events, organized by the city or other NGOs in Krasnoyarsk and through them promote volunteering and the EVS program. The main objectives of the project are: - active involvement of young people in civic participation in the community by way of non-formal education. - promotion of international exchanges and cross-cultural understanding and tolerance. - creation of necessary circumstances that will develop Volunteer's personal and professional growth. We would also like to offer our EVS-volunteer an opportunity to immerse into the field of non-formal education and in cultural environment of the region/city. Learning ‘basic Russian’ needed for daily communication is supposed to develop her competences and social skills. INTERRA's staff will support the Volunteer in setting, planning and achieving her learning objectives and enhancing her key competences within the period of EVS. The volunteer will be also welcome to take part in trainings and workshops organized by our team. The volunteer may participate in weekly management meetings of INTERRA-team. She will work mainly with young people in the age of 13 – 35 years old. The methodology of the project is elaborated in such a way that requires active Volunteer's participation and involvement in the daily life of the Siberian NGO. The methodology is based on the main principles of an experiential learning cycle and non-formal education. That is to say, at the beginning she will help to implement current events and little by little we will support her to act more independently. Through tparticipation in joint activities the Volunteer and young people from Krasnoyarsk acquire new knowledge and develop new attitudes towards different countries. The volunteer will have an opportunity to use all her experience from the project, to create the active way of participation and develop competences which are important both for personal and professional future. Her involvement in local community ensures that both Russian and the Volunteer’s community will benefit from the project. The volunteer will get a Youthpass Certificate which is recognized by European countries as a good recommendation paper when applying for a job or for admission to a desired study. Youthpass is not well-known in Krasnoyarsk, that is why by hosting EVS volunteers we hope to take a step closer to it's validation and recognition.
