Geologic Thermal Heating and Electricity with Romanian and Magyar Interregional Cooperation (GEO THERMIC)
Date du début: 31 juil. 2011, Date de fin: 29 nov. 2012 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project incorporates several novel methods and technologies to produce a feasibility study and associated project plan to maximize the geothermal potential of the valuable Hungarian and Romanian geothermal resource. The project explores at least 1 existing thermal well located in Hungary and 1 in Romania to produce grid-ready electrical power (stirling and turbine engines), bio-fuels (modified heat tolerant algae and methane) and use any residual direct heat power for small scale operations, such as a small community or a village. The project also attempts to discover new geothermal sources located within the cities/areas of Gyula, Hungary and Oradea, Romania. The main activities are: feasibility study elaboration, preparing prototype of technical description. The main results of the project are the technical study and the technology description. The target groups are small communities, mid to large business, hospitals and medical facilities.
