The project will design, develop, pilot and introduce an outline training curricula and new professional profile for ‘Gender Experts’. Target groups primarily include women and young people, with little or no formal education and those having left the labour market for familial reasons. An additional emphasis will be placed upon identifying target groups within rural areas where the disadvantages are felt to be significantly increased. Activities will include design and development of an outline training curriculum for the Gender Expert; promotion of the importance of the new professional profile amongst relevant stakeholders; piloting of the training material with the aims of qualifying a minimum of 20 persons from each partner country and with the further aim of Labour Market insertion for those having qualified and the creation of a European Gender Experts network. Project outputs will be produced in each of the partner languages and will comprise a Good Practice guide outlining the key points for those working in the field of equality of opportunity, a European Network of Gender Experts and a dedicated web page promoting the project results and hosting the outline training curriculum. Dissemination will include the hosting of three transnational seminars to further promote the end products of the project and the circulation of information on the project and its results to social partners, employer organisations & federations and decision/policy makers related to education, employment, vocational training, health and social well-being.
