DEVELOPING TECHNOLOGY AND CHANGING LIVES By the variety in the education system, the information technology classes in primary schools were removed. Also, transforming of our school in to a primary school, there isn’t a computer or a formative teacher. There are projections, computers and network access in all classes of our school. Even though teachers in our school have these equipments in their classes ,they are insufficient in using technology more actively in lessons. We need more visuals and practices to increase the level of school readiness of our pupils. We want to create collaborative and innovative work and team spirit, to increase the quality and efficiency of education by supporting the content of the lessons with technology, make our pupils experience active learning thanks to generalizing the using of ICT in classes, increase their interests to school, thanks to increasing interest to school to decrease absenteeism by preventing the early school leaving, to use the ICT materials more effectively to gain the ownership of their own learning to students and generalize our projects, to create web site and information network, to form cultural mosaic by coming together with people coming from different countries sharing our experiences, to make national and international projects,thanks to social networks to practise in speaking English, to show that the projects can be done in areas having disadvantages, to become resource of excitement to teachers working in these areas to prevent having burnout syndrome.Because of this reason we want to join the course ‘’İnnovativeskills ICT through collaborative and Project-based teaching and learning’ for seven days in Spain from 02 April 2016 to 08 April 2016. With the activities in this course we want to reach the aims of our project. The activities of the course that we join match up with our goals.The activities of the course are these: 1st day: Ice-breaking, 2nd day: visiting cultural places in Spain, 3rd day: the usage of ICT in class, K1-K2 starategic partnerships , collaborative and cooperative work, 4th day: webquest in the classroom, 5th day: Web 2: Blogs- twitter, creating website using weebly, 6th day: E-twinning–twinspace and practical simulations 7th day: Course Evaluation. The participants of Project are young ,energetic and open-minded to innovation. Our key personnel, Funda BAĞ(8) is an English teacher in our school. She made multilateral school partnership project named ‘’European Children Choir’’ as a coordinator of the project and a Regio project about researching the methods of innovative foreign language teaching.This regio project was accepted. Ali TUĞRUL(16) was graduated from The Faculty of Education as a class teacher and his graduate minor is English.He has attended different courses on ICT. Before, he has been abroad within the scope of Erasmus Project.He was one of the contact person of E-twinning in school that he worked. H. Deniz ÇETİN DÜŞÜNCELİ(10) knows English at B2. She has a portfolio certified by EU at B2. She studied for master degree on educational administration. She has joined variety of computer courses. She made projects about social support programme in 2010. She worked in R&D inthe directorate of national education in Siverek/Şanlıurfa in 2011. School director, Nadir COŞKUN(27) has an innovative view. He has an English certificate and he has attended variety of courses on ICT. He wrote a project for deaf students within the programme of Leonardo Da Vinci .He worked as a departmental manager in the city directorate of national education between 2010-2012. With in this period ,he wrote projects about social support programme.He wants to improve himself on making project. Our deputy principal, F.Murat DURMAZ(10) was graduated from high school giving foreign language education.He has variety English and ICT certificates.He helps teachers in our school in problems about information technolojies. N. Güneş KOCADAĞ(8) is interested in ICT. She knows English at an intermediate level. She wants to improve her English and use ICT better. She believes that this course will increase her proffessional competence. Mustafa KELEŞ(19) worked as an ICT formative teacher in different schools. He made works about using technology in education and project-based learning within INTEL teacher programme with teachers and students.He knows English at an intermediate level. Thanks to this course our teachers want students to provide more active learning with ICT. They target to improve their English and to improve their project experiences with writing project.
