Our school is in Ataköy a village located in Samandağ Hatay. 11 participants in this project consist of 2 administrators, 6 branch teachers and 3 disadvantaged group educators. These teachers are all experts in their fields. These participants need to learn new methodologies in using 21st Century teaching methods, strengthen their existing potentials and cooperate with their colleague working in education institutions in Europe by using the Erasmus+ program opportunity. We decided to join an international course to make our students more active, strengthen their academic success, help them develop a positive approach to lessons by learning the existing and developing methods in Europe and providing the educators know the European culture and improve their English Language skills. After the brainstorm and ask and answer method focused meetings we have chosen the "Teaching through 21st Century Methodologies" course in The Czech Republic, Prague. All the participants were included during this process. We contacted with the authorized people working in that institution and made our preparations. Before selecting our 11 participants we set some criteria like having never been abroad, being unable to find self-development opportunities, having a certain level of Language proficiency. These participants are open to improvement, young, dynamic, highly-motivated, idealist and have strong communication skills. During our project we have used methods such as research techniques, problem-solving, discussion and brainstorming and so on. Expected results and impact of the project is expected in the following way : -The school staff will have received training in Europe -We will be able to adapt the materials related to new methods as to be understood by children - We will improve abilities to use innovative and student-centered pedagogical approaches and to develop appropriate assessment and certification methods, based on learning outcomes - The participants will improve their language skills, so this will significantly contribute to the professional use of English. - Our professional profile will grow stronger .by producing practical and creative activities for our classrooms we will make our students more active. - We will increase the ability to address the needs of the disadvantaged, work with special needs children. -With the experience learning methods our teachers will strenghten and as a result the academic success of our students will increase. - The trainees will become an expert on new methodologies of teaching that have arisen in recent years and will have the ability to produce multidisciplinary lesson materials - We will have a broader understanding of practices, policies and systems in education in European Union. - Friendships based on multi-culturalism will be established and the cooperation with our EU colleagues will develop. -having aimed internationalization we will be able to experince the changing knowledge, method, technique and include this to our school strategic plan. the participants wiil improve their cooperation, teamwork and class management abilities. Through this project the benefits that will happen in long term are as follows: - The accumulations resulting from the course will be shared with internal and external stakeholders of our organization and this will make an important contribution to the sustainability of the project. - Students will be provided permanent learning with new methods and opportunities will be created to help them transfer what they have learned to their lives. - We will raise the awareness of stakeholders about the culture of Europe - All the locally components ( teachers, schools, youth, disadvantaged groups , women) will be encouraged to produce projects and join to the project mobility that are being conducted within the European Union.
