Gastronomic journey in Szabolcs–Szatmár–Bereg and Satu Mare counties (Gastro-Tour)

The general aim of the project is to increase the awareness of tourism values of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Satu Mare counties with the development of 5 thematic gastronomic routes based on the exploration of the gastronomic values and the application of appropriate marketing, special events and actions.The project directly targets the involved micro-regions, representatives of municipalities, participants at events, while the indirect beneficiaries are the residents and businesses of the area and the tourists. As a result of the project, a significant multiplier effect takes place, because people are spreading the reputation of the area’s gastronomic treasures and the associated festivals. The main innovation of the project is a unique, unprecedented gastronomic joint action. Further innovative values may occurre due to the common nature of development.
