Date du début: 31 août 2005, Date de fin: 30 mars 2008 PROJET  TERMINÉ

To prevent youth emargination, the project is targeted at adolescents and young people residing in the Italian-Slovenian cross-border territory (which includes part of Trieste, Monrupino, Sežana, Divača and Ilirska Bistrica municipalities), with age ranging between sixteen and twenty-nine years. The project is meant to support young people in the changes they have to go through during their transition to adulthood; these changes and the consequent unease they bring about may favour isolation, and thus suffering, emargination and group deviancy. Therefore our initiative is meant to influence the critical factors generated by such change, before they lead to and consolidate the normality/deviancy dychotomy; a “youth project” is thus proposed. Its main components are the service mapping, the proposals put forward by private social services, the informal aggregation centres in the area and, at the same time, an assessment of the needs and the expectations of the reference target. A special training course is being organized for operators/educators/trainers of youth groups and two information desks are being set up (in Fernetti and Sežana). The project envisages a cross-border collective subject to promote the project. Finally, a meeting is going to be held about youth policies in Italy, Slovenia, Europe and in the bordering area.
