Six German members of the consortium in the domain of vocational education participate in the project “Voluntary Vocational Internships in the Czech Republic in 2016/18”, initiated by Tandem - coordination center for German-Czech youth exchange in Regensburg. Within the context of the project students and apprentices take part in a vocational internship for two or three weeks.The main objective is to convey new professional experiences to the young people and to enable them to increase their professional competences, to qualify them further and to increase their chances on the European labor-market. Additionally the learners, who participate in voluntary vocational internships, are signaling their readiness for mobility. Furthermore the participants acquire valuable intercultural experience and numerous key skills both in everyday and in professional life.Acting as a coordinator of the national mobility-consortium Tandem conducts the planned mobility activities and supports all involved partner organisations in preparation, processing and postprocessing of the internships. Tandem gives advice, offers supporting events and provides pedagogic materials for Czech-German student and youth exchange. The project "Voluntary Vocational Internships – Freiwillige Berufliche Praktika" is funded by EU-programm Erasmus+.
