The foreign society, her local partners and her partners from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Poland, Slovenia and the Ukraine would like to give with the EFD project 7 Volunteer from the involved countries the chance to take part for the period of one year in the arrangement and development of international projects and in the local child and youth work as well as media work and to try out itself in different fields of activity. The volunteers will design and accompany concrete international youth projects as well as intercultural media and meeting projects or participate in a daily work in the organisations and their facilities. At the same time they will initiate and design own activities for Europe and take part with common actions in initiatives of the civil society for democracy and tolerance in the local sphere of Magdeburg.This long-term individual stay abroad enhances their intercultural competence as well as their intercultural learning and experience and shapes their further personal development. Through their work in the various fields the volunteers will strengthen and develop their competence in the project management, intercultural learning, education work, democracy work as well as their so-called soft skills in the form of self-employment and appearance, teamwork and cooperation, empathy and understanding for others. During the stay they will also enrich their language knowledge and the knowledge for Germany which can lead to better job opportunities in their future. The experience gained in the various activities should open them new perspectives and illustrate the importance of tolerance, democracy and intercultural learning and active participation in our society and clarify their relationship to Europe.At the same time the activities of our volunteers will enhance our own work through the new perspectives, problems and ideas of these young people. The international character of our organisations will be visible in everyday work.
