The FREE THE NONFORMAL project will take place in Craiova , during the period 23 october-2 nov. 2014 and will have a number of 38 participants, as it follows: - 16 young people from Romania , from which 4 youngsters with fewer opportunities and 2 young cancer patients - 16 young people from Grece aut of which 4 of them with lower opportunuites - 6 juvenile prisoners from Juvenile Penitentiary of Craiova. The themes of this project will approach the following axis :Non-formal education, - developing the social intelligence- European citizenship. By FREE THE NONFORMAL project, besides the objective of personal development of young people, we want to stimulate the taste for non-formal education as a vector of development of European consciousness among young people coming from two different backgrounds, "inside" and "outside" and the two cultures: Romanian and Greek. The overall objective is to facilitate personal development and training of European consciousness among the young people from the Juvenile Penitentiary of Craiova as well as to increase tolerance and openness towards these youngsters, among the 32 participants from Romania and Greece through the use of non-formal education methods. The methods used will be from the area of non-formal education : Live Library, Labyrinth Theatre , Public Cafe, Payback Theatre, role play, games for competences development and behavioral skills. etc.All these methods will increase interaction between young people , will help them to develop their social skilles and abilities, to acquire new knowledge and to improve the existing ones, also to cultivate a behavior based on generosity and love for others, fostering creativity, teamwork, cooperation and tolerance among both prisoners and young participants. The impact is positive upon the target group since the activities and methods will produce a reduction of the issues regarding the access to European information and especially personal development , problems that both the young participants and the prisoners are dealing with. This project is the basis for building an environment where young prisoners can carry out activities even after their release, and to mantain contact with a group with healty values for a easier social reintegration in the future.
