Free mind in action

Lithuanian Youth Centre initiated training course "Free Mind in Action" will gather 21 youth workers from 4 European countries: Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. The aims of this project are to give young workers the opportunity to learn and grow, to exchange experiences and impart gained experience to young people. Project participants will get acquainted with the youth work in innovative forms, in various non-formal educational methods, to solve the problems of discrimination through simulations, youth workers will get the competencies, will promote intercultural European youth organizations co-operation.2010 10 10 - 2010 10 17 youth workers will be presented with discrimation value for the personality, bullying and harassment prevention situation in Lithuania and abroad, and will teflect to each other your experience with cambating discrimination in youth organizations. In working groups they will discuss about the non-formal education methods and the integration of tolerance and will develop recommendations for youth workers facing with similar problems. Basic training goal is to provide young workers that has no or little experience with the necessary knowledge and skills in the fight against discrimination, to prepare methodological guidelines for measures adjusment of anti-discrimination to create a bace for establishing contacts and sharing experiences. In these training courses that are based on non-formal education principles youth workers will learn the various methods, get new ideas for their daily activities, learn about intercultural learning opportunities. After the training course participants will be ready to gather youth organizations in international youth exchange and apply for a Youth in Action Programme.
