Frames of Mind 2
Date du début: 10 juin 2015, Date de fin: 9 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Nowadays there is pretty much infinite number of activities one can devote himself to. This is, apparently, part of the reason why it is so complicated for a person, no matter of the age group, to make a choice what exactly to be engaged with. The second half of the issue is very likely hidden in the lack of non-formal education that, to some extent, is capable of providing much more valuable information than traditional way does. Sadly, modern schools are more orientated around technical, therefore, practical side of our existence and tend to ignore the others. As a result, we have dozens of youngsters who have no clue about themselves, their own interests and possibilities. They encounter difficulties in choosing life path that suits them the best and, most usually, just follow someone else's. It is the point where self-realization starts to disappear. In this project we introduced and reinforced the idea of “multiple intelligences” proposed by American psychologist Howard Gardner. Our goal was to help young people to discover themselves. To make them understand that human beings are all unique and we should not judge one by being different from others.. This project contributed to development of participants life-long learning competencies, self-awareness, as well as it promoted active participation of young people from different backgrounds in the events happening around them. The youth exchange "Frames of Mind 2" gathered 47 participants from Lithuania, Macedonia, Estonia, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Slovakia, Portugal and Spain. Mix of indoor and outdoor activities, like team-building exercises, problem-solving initiatives, practical workshops, group discussions and others, participants managed to understand themselves better by enhancing every intelligence.
