Fortbildningsinsatser; International Gap seminar, The global classroom 2015, Early childhood education, Meta learning and thinking skills

The preschool area consists of three kindergartens about 51 employees and 250 students aged 1-5 years. Our common idea is "Education for Sustainable Development" and we see it as an umbrella over our educational mission. We are working to get a holistic view of everything we do in kindergarten. We apply for these four projects in order to work together to broaden and deepen our knowledge and improve our teaching for younger children. We want to get more knowledge about the content of education for sustainable development and develop our methods and our way of thinking. Working for length, width and depth of the educational responses is itself a sustainable approach. We wish also, in collaboration with other European partners, to gain new skills and share our knowledge. We see that this leads to new perspectives on our own business.
At home, the participants will implement their newfound knowledge in groups with other teachers in the three preschools. We also provide our experience and knowledge to other preschools and staff at management level. We want to share our knowledge with other teachers as well as politicians and municipal leaders.
Put together, we are seeking training for 9 different participants in four different projects.
1.Two preschool teachers will have expanded assignment to work with different pedagogical approaches to learning for sustainable development.
2. Two persons who represent management seeking an education in "Meta-Learning and Thinking Skills" and international Gap seminar in 2015, in order to highlight the development perspective in these matters to the organization.
3.Three persons, who constitute the nursery schools management team, will have expanded assignment to ensure the quality of our teaching of younger children.
Our expectations based on the above courses is to improve our work regarding the width, length and depth of our business.
We see this as a start to a long-term process and the results will be followed up in both short and long term in each nursery school's quality reporting. We also see it as a start of our international work in collaboration with our international coordinators and in line with the international policy of the municipality.
