The learning without barriers project aimed at enhancing the quality of training practice and improving access to learning across all areas of modern society, with a particular focus upon socially disadvantaged learners. Working with a variety of stakeholders, the project confirmed the importance of shared choices and shared responsibility for learning with all stakeholders, including the learner, taking the required decisions on learning and career choice. Key results included a stakeholder network, a best practice toolkit and and a methodological framework supporting active learner involvement.
