The partners of the project seek to elaborate joint planning and management methods for rescue activities in case of emergency situations. It is expected that cooperation between medical institutions from the Lithuania-Poland borderline will enable effective emergency actions in critical situations thus ensuring security of the inhabitants of the region. The overall objective of the project is to develop an effective system of cooperation between medical entities, local and regional authorities in the cross-border area in the field of emergency situations. Expected Results: The activities of the project include the purchase and installation of medical equipment, modernization works and purchase of medical equipment in Lazdijai hospital, special first aid trainings for policemen as well as informational activities. The development of the joint action plan for medical institutions and local authorities will secure the effectiveness of medical services provided during the emergency situations.
