IISS "Colamonico - Chiarulli" is a secondary school attended by about 1016 pupils. There are about 144 teachers and 22 supporting staff. It was born in 2012 from a merge of a technical and a vocational school.The Colamonico is deeply involved in the study of foreign languages as it offers courses on both International Relations for Marketing and Tourism; for the last 12 years the school has been working on European projects such as: Comenius school partnerships, stages or class exchanges. The institute is also a Trinity examination Center.Our Institute proposes this organizational plan for a European mobility project involving three main points: development of teaching and learning competences in the field of foreign languages (English);development of innovative teaching skills with a focus on CLIL methodology; development of strategic plans aimed at enhancing inclusion and equity.The training project, developed by our school, plans the mobility for 10 teachers: five teachers, who are involved in CLIL, will be attending training courses to improve their methodological skills and their linguistic abilities, three foreign languages teachers (two of English and one of French) will improve their competences in the teaching of foreign languages and a teacher for students with special needs will attend a training course on inclusion and equity.The learning outcomes of the action will have an impact on both the pupils and the teaching staff, as stated in the Strategic Framework ET 2020 as regards the improvement of the students’ basic skills and the improvement of the teachers’ competences .During and after the project cycle, the school will take the necessary steps and measures to appropriately advertise and disseminate the activities and the outcomes in order to increase the awareness of the opportunities offered by Erasmus +.
