FORMARE PROFESIONALĂ DE CALITATE PRIN MOBILITĂȚI EUROPENE

The project "QUALITY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING THROUGH EUROPEAN MOBILITIES" is proposed by the Economic College of Mountainous Banat Resita, National Call 2014, within Erasmus + program, Key action 1. The project aims to a specific objective of Erasmus + program: improving key skills and abilities, in particular on their relevance to the labor market and their contribution to a cohesive society, especially by increasing the mobility opportunities for learning and by strengthening cooperation between school and the labor market. The thematic priority of the project is linked to the promotion of quality in education and in initial and continuous training, providing a better transition from school to work and facilitating the youth’s insertion on labor market. The objectives of the project are: 1. Achieving of general and specialized skills and knowledge, enabling students completing vocational route to level 3 or 3 +. 2. Developing key skills: general and specialized technical skills required by the level of qualification that students will acquire. 3. Accumulation of linguistic and specialist knowledge, information on Portuguese/ Cyprus culture and tradition. 4. Improving the knowledge of the English language, degree of relationship and communication within the team. The project will develop a training program for a target group of 50 students, for each year. They are in the 10th grade, technological high school, level 1 of qualification, ( the Food Industry profile -16 students and the Food profile - 20 students) or 10th grade, a 2 –year- vocational school, level 1 of qualification, ( the Trade profile-14 students) . It will be run through a transnational partnership with businesses from Portugal and Cyprus for a period of two years (2015 and 2016), the participants’ number and profile is identical for the two years of the project. Participants will perform internships of 90 hours (6 h/day x15 days), provided by the merge practical training modules, namely: “Manufacture of wines and distilled spirits from grapes ", “Serving food and recommendation of beverages " and "Selling wines and distilled spirits in a specialized shop." All modules have the status of LDC and are approved at the Board of Directors’ meeting of Economic College of Mountainous Banat Resita in 02/27/2014. Students will learn how to obtain wines and distilled spirits from grapes; they will learn how to serve various dishes in restaurants and recommend drinks associated to them, will learn to sell wines and distilled spirits from grapes in specialized stores. Expected results at the end of the project: - Students ‘acquisition of practical skills included in school curriculum. - Development of language and communication skills. - Increasing the teachers’ involvement in school curriculum design of CDL type, adapted to the actual situation on the labor market and the trainees’ needs, which will facilitate the transition from school to work and will lead to performance. - Development of learning materials for CDL (practical training notebook entitled “The Long Road of wine from the vineyard to the consumer's table " ). - Improving teachers' skills in project management. - Continuing to work with the companies involved in the project in order to carry out other projects. Students will have the opportunity to gain real work experience, to acquire knowledge and professional skills, language and communication skills in order to successfully integrate on the workplace, becoming promoters of European quality, both in Romania and in Europe. Being a European worker means to work in accordance with the norms of international and national hygiene and also with the consumer’s requirements. The project will enable the development of the European dimension of the activity developed by the school. The long-term benefits will be: - Increasing the employability of graduates on the labor market. - Increasing the interest in technological and vocational education and reducing absenteeism and school leaving. - The foundation of the educational offer based on students’ personal and professional development needs, ensuring improvement of the workforce skills. - Increasing the number of applications for Erasmus + program, all actions.
