FormaLab has implemented a training method based on the fabrication of objects. It is inspired by the principle of FabLabs and it is included in the network. The key strength of Formalab is to develop key transferable skills among young adults looking for employment. FormaLab is a physical place open to learners through workshops to produce objects. The informal dimension and autonomy given to learners enhances their motivation and their desire to learn. Personal and group projects can be implemented and exchange with other groups are encouraged. Learning and sharing are the core of FormaLab. Our partners, ITD and timelab in Ghent have also developed this formative dimension and have reached new targets (pupils and students, teachers and trainers, young dessocialised). They have benefited from the expertise of Greta du Velay regarding formal training and the development of key competences.
