Youth exchange: Forced2MovePlace: Lithuania, Daugirdiskes, Elektrenai districtTime: 2016 June 1-11Project countries: Lithuania, Greece, Poland, Cyprus, Germany, CroatiaParticipants: 36 young people (including group leaders), between age 17-25Project goal - to acquaint young people with a migration history, evolution and causes, by promoting tolerance, understanding and respect between citizens and immigrants. (asylum seekers, who have emigrated for work, etc.).Objectives:To understand and analyse the migration phenomenon through range of interactive methods immersing people in refugee situations;To overview of each partner country's situation in the context of migration by making interviews and media products;An overview of the situation of refugees and the authorities in dealing with this problem (at European and national level);Access to the EU's proposed policy of social integration of refugees and its impact on young people;To promote tolerance and respect for other cultures, religious representatives;Enable young people to express their civic position on migration and social integration.To inform young people about the real situation taking place these days in the context of migration in EuropeThe programme of the exchange involes wide renage of methods allowing young people to explore the nowadays situation in migration and refugee crisis in Europe. Young people will conduct interviews with refugees and local communities, they will meet representatives of institutions dealing with migrations. People will experience few complex simulations and board games in order to explore the main topics in depth. The exchange will finish by running Open Space workshop in Lentvaris gimnasium focusing on main topics of the exchange. The project is aiming to make impact on personal, organisational and community levels. We expect young people will broaden their views and develop inner readiness to act proactively and constructively in approaching recent migration challenges in their coutries or regions.
