Food International Trade Management (FITIM)

The project aims at planning of a new FITIM (Food Industry and Trade International Management) educational platform in such a way that it can be later implemented as cooperation between a Finnish and an Estonian institution of higher education and commercial firms. The planning of the platforms takes into consideration the detailed educational requirements of the Finnish and Estonian institutions of higher education, the goals of the EU Bologna process, and the suggestions of food industry and trade firms. The educational platform is basically a program in business management, into which are incorporated studies in food science, food logistics, food regulations and food marketing, and a compulsory internship of at least five months. In order to save resources, the platform is intended to be offered in such a way that a part of its instruction is given only in a Finnish and a part only in an Estonian institution of higher education.
