Follow-up and impact in international projects

The training course “Follow-up and impact in international projects” will be organised by Youth and Environment Europe (Czech Republic) and Balta Daba (Latvia). It will take place in Valmiera, Latvia on 8-15 August. The project will include 13 partners from 11 European countries: Czech Republic, Latvia, Armenia, Moldova, Serbia, Albania, Russia, Spain, Italy, Romania, Portugal. The training course will gather 28 participants who are involved in the work of their organisations: they are either employees or active volunteers who are planning to organise an international project. The idea for the training course comes from the experience of organising various international projects and the challenge to organise strong and long-term follow-up. During the training course we will look into the various ways and methods of creating a project which will have clear and measurable impact (either on local community or international level). We will also look into dissemination and visibility (successful promotion) and how to motivate people to stay involved in the project. The aim of the training course is to train youth workers and volunteers in creating projects with successful and measurable follow-up and impact. Objectives -to exchange experiences of organising international and local projects -to explore, learn and discuss the methods and tools of creating a project with the planned follow-up -to discuss the methods of motivating and working with young people -to train youth workers in skills of motivation -to share and learn various tools of dissemination -to share good practices of successful follow-up experience The working methods will be based on non-formal education and intercultural learning principles. They will reflect the objectives of the project. The activities will be planned to create safe atmosphere for sharing and discovering new things. The participants will be taking part in open discussions, group work, role-play. The programme will include a lot of practical tasks directly involving the participants. The participants of the training course will gain various competences to help them organise projects with sustainable results. They will act as multipliers among their NGOs and share the best practices and tools which they will learn at the training course. The long-term benefits will include the higher quality projects with sustainable results and planned follow-up of future international projects.
