Date du début: 1 août 2014, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project has arisen in recent months by a close contact with partners in Greece and Bulgaria. Inspired by the idea of a common cultural exchange in non-formal education projects, we have set together the following key objectives for the project: • Promotion of young people from socially and financially disadvantaged families and with health • Promoting understanding between cultures and the idea of Europe towards a European identity • Development of long-term collaborations and friendships with partners / project countries The three main themes are derived from this: • Promoting intercultural understanding and exchange, acquisition of intercultural skills of all participants on an interpersonal or micro - level. • The idea of a common Europe. • The promotion and support of non-formal education projects As mentioned above we would like to support young people with fewer opportunities in our project. In this sense, we want to encourage young people who come from socially and financially weak parents' home, have health problems or limitations, as well as young people who come from a multicultural environment. The main activities are mainly related to the care and support of children through participation in schools, orphanages and kindergartens. We want to support the positive development of disadvantaged children in local communities through outdoor activities and workshops. In the project Balkan Kids in Varna, Bulgaria, is to be promoted through the organization of everyday life in schools and orphanages the active participation of young people in a positive, tolerant and environmentally friendly Europe. In Greece, the volunteers work in kindergartens and community centers in the region Corinth. You take care of children of different ages of 3-5 years and 5-12 years and will support the full employee with everyday tasks such as meals and entertainment of children. The emphasis is placed on the organization and implementation of age-appropriate workshops where volunteers can contribute their own ideas and skills. The following workshops are planned: an art and craft workshop, where children get to learn through the use of various materials, their environment, music workshops, in which volunteers can include their personal talents such as singing, dancing and mastery of musical instruments, as well as the implementation of nature walks and field trips to museums and local events. The distribution of roles of each partner in the project is clearly structured and divided. ODI as coordinating sending organization takes a great deal of planning in advance , thus creating the conditions for an EVS - Request position , preparation of the volunteer , theoretical project planning together with the project partners , organizational matters . The coordination, guidance and supervision of the main activities in Greece and Bulgaria, however, falls to our project partners on site. We expect that our project affects effectively and proactively to all parties involved. Among all participants, we understand the volunteers, the staff of the respective institutions, but also all other people who are involved directly or indirectly in the project. During the project a sense of community should develop which in particular children and young people to learn security. Social and intercultural competences are acquired by all participants, as children and young people come into contact with people of other cultures and get to understand in a playful way foreign cultures. Not only the children and young people, but also the volunteers and other staff of the institution in exchange learn more about European countries, languages and cultures. This intense and personal contact allows both sides (some) break down prejudices and stereotype, which ultimately leads to greater tolerance and at the same time strengthens friendships and cohesion. As a result this results in long-term perspective, the ability to create and promote a European identity. All persons involved in the project emerge as certain multipliers from the project, the long-term impact also nationally and internationally on their environment.
