About a third of our students have a migrant background and a different first language than German. Partly they have not yet experienced school in Austria and therefore are not familiar with our school system. In order to be able to serve the needs of these students better in culture and language, we plan to develop a new concept of instruction. In addition we want to implement new teaching and learning methods with a careful subject teaching as far as language is concerned so as to enable this target group of students on their way to their final exams. This stay abroad is a possibility to benefit from the experience and knowledge of the experts at the Austrian school in Budapest and to integrate the concepts into our own tuition. The knowledge gained through this visit deepened through thorough discussions and sitting in on classes are to benefit our school and can improve the satisfaction both of students AND teachers and consequently lead to a better quality of instruction.
