Liebfrauenschule has a need of development especially in the area of individual support. This was determined by an external quality analysis. In addition, there will be a new generation of younger English teaching colleagues at the school in the near future. Furthermore, most students lack experience abroad or a deep interest in foreign cultures. With this in mind, this year two colleagues were chosen who will gain experiences with individualized and motivating learning methods and will teach their newly learnt methods to their colleagues. Another colleague will be deployed next year. This serves the long-term improvement of teaching, both in terms of pronunciation as well as individual teaching methods. In addition, we evaluate the possibility of student exchanges with potential partner schools in the future. This project focuses on teacher trainings in English speaking countries this year and next year. Prior the first training development needs have already been declared. Now the colleagues prepare for their stay through self-study. Interviews with more experienced colleagues have already taken place. After the initial training, the colleagues, who stayed behind, will be informed and schooled. In the same context, at least one inhouse training is planned to inform the colleagues about the experience abroad. Further questionnaires will be designed to evaluate the effects. Also, written reports will be made available for future reference. During the second year knowledge will be reviewed and further elaborated. Expected results are an improvement of the language skills of the participating peers and improvement of teaching at the school as a whole and the development of a school partnership with an annual student exchange. This should promote cultural enrichment of the students as well as language skills, mobility and open-mindedness.
